March Madness

We had great seats for the kids to see the action up close

A few weeks ago David's boss gave us tickets to the NC State vs. Boston College basketball game. Even though we are "loyal" GT fans, we felt the least we could do was wear the color "red" to the game.....especially against Boston College (being the 'southerners' that we are we could not possibly root for BC). We did not buy any Wolfpack shirts or buy anything NC state related except some popcorn and peanuts. Surely we can't be kicked out of the GT club for that.....right??
We had great seats and the kids really enjoyed the game. It was senior night and the last regular season game so there was a lot of excitement in the air despite their sub-par season. It wasn't exactly "March Madness" but it was close enough for us:) :)

Happy Birthday, LD!

Reading a handmade card from a friend

Luke had a super 6th birthday! He had breakfast in bed made by Mommy, Sarah and Andrew that morning. (This has become a request by all the kids after doing it for Daddy's birthday back in September) He also had his door decorated by Sarah and Daddy as a surprise. Later that day he invited 7 buddies over to the local bounce house for jumping, pizza, and cake. What a special 6th birthday! He didn't even have to go to school that day because his class was tracked out.
We love you, Luke David, and we are so proud of you:) You are such a blessing to us!

Luke got to celebrate early at Papa and Gramie's house while we were in GA. After church we had pizza (Lukes' fav!), salad, and of course, cake and ice cream. It was a beautiful February day and the kids even got a chance to walk the dogs around the neighborhood afterwards. Luke had such a special day being with his grandparents, Aunt Joy, Aunt Lauren and his 3 cousins. He even got to hold baby Charlotte. (More pictures to come with her! ) Happy Birthday, big boy! We love you!

Open Wide, Drew!

While in Marietta, we all visited the dentist for cleanings. Sarah was a big help! She read to the kids while we each took our turn. This was Andrew's first time and he did a great job opening nice and wide........Ahhhhhhh! No cavities for anyone so far........hope to keep it that way!

Happy B-day!! We love you!!

During the children's track-out in February, the kids and I decided to take a road trip to GA to visit family and friends. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to see everyone we wanted to see, but we did pack a lot in the 5 days...........two birthday parties, two trips to Cumming to visit friends, a local consignment sale, a visit to the dentist for cleanings, a trip to the local library, overnights at both grandparents' homes, and holding a new baby cousin.
The first night we arrived it was Gramie's birthday. We went out to dinner and then had cake and ice cream back at Gramie's house. It was very special being with her on her special day! We love you Gramie! Happy Birthday!!
